VR-9000 Single and Dual Speed Sensors

DESCRIPTION: (top)

  • Rugged, economically priced, single and dual-output vehicle speed sensors that are ideal for most heavy-duty applications
  • 11 standard models and five popular electrical "matches" (ohms/resistance)
  • Standard SAE 3/4" x 16 thread-mounting in three lengths: 2.35", 2.70" and 3.00"
  • Direct replacement with easy screw-in installation (with jam nut) and two-wire hook-up
  • Best-in class sealing (submersible construction) protects unit from harmful liquid intrusion
  • Self-generating electrical signal, no power supply required
  • Highly accurate sensor output
  • Superior high-temperature and thermal shock resistance
  • Dual-output for 3.00" version only

    2.35", 2.70" and 3.00" (single-output versions); 3.00" only for dual output versions

    Temperature and checmical resistant, engineered thermoplastic, 1.12" hex diameter

    Electromagnetic bobbin assembly; closed nose, lead seals (fluorosilicon elastomer); non-encapsulated construction

    0.25 to 150 volts
  • Ohms/Resistance:
    270 ohms, 670 ohms, and 940 ohms for single-output sensors (measured at 20°C); 836/1220 ohms and 1150/1530 ohms for dual-output sensors (@ +/- 10%)
  • Air Gap:
    0.25 mm to 2.25 mm (Target = 1.25 mm)
  • Operating Temperature:
    -40° to 150°C (Note: Higher ranges are optional)

    Packard, Deutsch or Whiteacre connectors with wire, 31" or 3" long, 16-AWG rated at 125°C encapsulated in convoluted tubing (Note: flying leads and other connectors are optional)

    Vehicle/PTO/engine speed sensing

APPLICATIONS: (top)

Suitability of application is the responsibility of the user.
During installation, be sure to screw sensor into appropriate housing until it touches the tone wheel or gear. Back sensor out approximately one full turn and tighten jam nut.
DO NOT torque jam nut over 20 ft.lbs.
